ADOBE HAVE RELEASED THE LATEST VERSIONS OF THEIR PRINT AND WEB APPLICATIONS
The latest versions of your favorite Adobe print and web applications have been released - wearing the tag CS, short for Creative Suite, and bundled together this represents fantastic value for money. You can buy the individual applications if you don't want the full suite or upgrade from your existing copies of Adobe Photoshop. The Creative Suite itself is available in two editions, Standard and Premium, the Standard Edition includes Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, and InDesign CS while the Premium Edition also includes GoLive CS and Acrobat 6 Professional. Both editions however, include the new Version Cue file management software, so you can track your jobs from start to finish with ease. The minimum OS requirements for these applications is Mac OS X 10.2.4 and Windows 2000 with Service pack 3 or Windows XP.
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS
The standards-setting image editing application adds new effects for Photographers including Match Colour, PhotoFilter and Shadow/Highlight correction. Then there is the Photomerge for creating flawless panorama's, Layer Comps for saving multiple visuals, text on and inside paths, history logs and of course the brand new Version Cue file management system.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CS
You have got to try the 3D Effect tool. Those of you in Brands will love how easy it is to create your pack shot visuals. Then there is the support for PDF 1.5 which means you can save your top-level layers to PDF, live distortion effects, support for OpenType fonts and type variations with ligatures and swashes and (familiar to InDesign users) the new Character and Paragraph styles. Oh, and Version Cue!.
ADOBE INDESIGN CS
So InDesign is all grown up. Performance is up 70%, you can import native Photoshop and Illustrator files, you have transparency, user specified glyph sets, optical alignment, separations preview, output PDF directly to Acrobat 6 with enhanced output options, pathfinder commands, story editor, nested styles and much more including Version Cue. We have full-courses, upgrade courses and orientation courses for users making the transition from "other" Page Layout applications.
ADOBE GOLIVE CS
New features include Smart Objects, enabling open, edit and placement of Photoshop, Illustrator and PDF files within GoLive, true visual CSS1 and 2 authoring and previewing, syntax-aware extensible source code completion and the Package for GoLive using XML to transfer print publication text and graphics from InDesign.
ADOBE ACROBAT PROFESSIONAL
Among the new features are ISO standards compliant PDF X1a and X3 support and significant pre-press solutions creating host-based or in-RIP separations and the comprehensive pre-flight options including viewing separations and transparency flattening. Create interactive electronic forms for completion and submission on-line and Layers .....
